WHAT IS BC Founders Day?

BC Founders Day is a single-day event for startup founders designed to bring together BC’s up-and-coming founders with experienced leaders from across the ecosystem.

WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF BC FOUNDERS DAY?

BC Founders Day started from a simple idea: what would happen if we put BC’s up-and-coming founders in the same room with dozens of experienced founders from startups past?

The day consists of three parts:

  1. A mini conference with experienced founders sharing insights from their startup journeys

  2. Founder-only office hours, where founders can meet and ask questions of the speakers and dozens of other experienced founders

  3. A networking event where founders, investors and supporters of BC’s startup ecosystem can celebrate together

WHO CAN ATTEND?

BC Founders Day is open to current, past and aspiring founders of technology startups (including students!).

We invite investors and ecosystem supporters to join us for the networking event at GoodCo on Granville starting at 5:00PM.

DO YOU REALLY Need to be a founder to ATTEND?

Yes.

As part of the registration, you are required to provide your LinkedIn profile. Our team will review every application to make sure that you are a real founder of a technology startup.

Recruiters, salespeople, consultants and other service providers are welcome to join the networking event starting at 5:00PM.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, Fasken, Google Cloud, RBCx, Web Summit and Launch, BC Founders Day is free to attend.

(Food and drinks will be available for purchase during the office hours and networking event.)

HOW DO THE OFFICE HOURS WORK?

Founder office hours take place immediately following the main event and are one of the most unique parts of the day. BC Founders Day speakers plus dozens more experienced founders will be onsite wearing bright Hawaiian leis — so they’ll stick out! Introduce yourself to anyone wearing a lei and ask questions about your startup. Everyone is there to help.

WHO CAN ATTEND OFFICE HOURS?

BC Founders Day office hours are open to verified founders only. Attendees with a “Founders” badge will be permitted to enter the venue between 3:30pm and 5:00pm.

We’ll welcome everyone else to join the networking event starting at 5:00pm!

WHO IS THE ORGANIZER OF BC FOUNDERS DAY?

BC Founders Day is organized by Chris Neumann, a 4x founder-turned-VC.
